I. Orbis: A Map of Scars
Today, looking at a map of Orbis is looking at the autopsy of a world. Zones 3 and 4 remain under the heavy yoke of absolute corruption, nightmare territories where the sky perpetually bleeds in violet hues and gravity obeys cruel whims. There, Varyn's beasts patrol ceaselessly, erecting obsidian obelisks that act as antennas for the Void. Yet, on the fringes of this hell, something fundamental has changed.
The fear, that cold paralysis that defined our parents' generation after Year Zero, has evaporated. In its place, a cold, calculating, lethal determination has crystallized. We are no longer survivors hiding in damp caves waiting for the end; we are an operational army. We have learned that beasts bleed, obelisks shatter, and Varyn, for all his godlike power, fears only one thing: our unity.
Under Tessa's blue and gold banner, we have established "The Bastion," a colossal mobile fortress that is a marvel of hybrid engineering. It combines the robustness of human defensive masonry with the accelerated growth magic of the Kweebecs, allowing the walls to repair themselves and move through dense forests. It is the beating heart of the Resistance.
"They have infinite numbers, dark magic, and the favor of a mad god. We have steel, rage, and something far more dangerous: we have absolutely nothing left to lose."
II. The Forges of Wrath
The interior of the Bastion is a symphony of industrial warfare. The forges never rest. The rhythmic sound of thousands of hammers striking anvils rings day and night, a percussion keeping the army's heartbeat. Blacksmiths have developed a new alloy: steel tempered in beast blood and cooled with storm crystals. These weapons don't just cut flesh; they disrupt the magical connection of Void creatures, preventing regeneration.
Alchemists, once dedicated to healing potions, now manufacture volatile explosives encapsulated in runic glass. Every arrow, every sword, and every shield produced in the Bastion bears an engraved promise of retribution. The gold economy is dead; the only currency of value today is ammunition and loyalty.
III. Gaia's Sentinels: Giants at the Crossroads
For fifteen years, the stone Golems were the symbol of our greatest defeat. Those who were once Gaia's Sentinels, guardians of elemental nexuses, became Varyn's deadliest siege machines after being infected by Void energy. However, today, the Bastion has achieved a feat that seemed impossible: runic purification. Through the combination of human frequency technology and Kweebec life-songs, we have managed to "free" a small number of these giants.
These recovered Golems, though scarred by the violet marks of their past corruption, have sworn loyalty to Tessa. They are few, but their presence on the battlefield is decisive. They act as living shields against Void beams, allowing infantry to advance. Nevertheless, most Sentinels still wander Zone 3 as empty shells or servants of darkness, forcing our soldiers to face the world's ancient protectors in heartbreaking combat.
Advancing towards the front lines.
IV. A Brotherhood of Blood and Stone
What Varyn never anticipated was this total union. Ferans bring speed, Kweebecs the wisdom of the earth, Humans the tenacity of steel, and now, the freed Golems bring tectonic strength. This alliance is not just military; it is a reconstruction of Orbis's original ecosystem. We are recovering the puzzle pieces Varyn tried to destroy.
